VIBRATIONAL ASSIGNMENT OF 2,3-PENTADIENE
Publisher:
Ohio State UniversityAbstract:
The vibrational spectrum of 2,3-pentadiene (1,3-dimethylallene) has been examined as part of a study of the vibrational modes of chiral molecules. Mid-infrared spectra of solid and gas phases as well as Raman spectra of solid, liquid, and gas phases have been recorded. A vibrational assignment based on infrared and Raman band contours and Raman depolarization measurements will be discussed.
