MOLECULAR BEAM STUDIES OF WATER
Publisher:
Ohio State UniversityAbstract:
Molecular beam electric resonance spectroscopy has been used to make precision Stark effect measurements on J = 1 and J = 2 rotational levels of $H_{2}O$ and $D_{2}O$. Since energy levels and matrix elements are accurately known for these states, centrifugal distortions of the dipole moment are directly observed. In addition, results of molecular beam electric deflection studies of water polymers will be presented.
