dc.description.abstract | The absorption spectra of selec-ted metal tetrachlorides will be presented extending down into the vacuum ultraviolet region. Assignments of the electronic transitions observed will be discussed and excited states designated. Theoretical results will be compared with the experimental data obtained on a McPherson RS-225. A deconvolution scheme using Lorentzian-modified Gaussian line shapes will be used as an aid in determining barycenters and intensities. | en_US |
