Abstract
For my project I will be taking part in the Global May Paris study abroad through The Ohio State University. The program accounts for a day designated to traveling on May 7th, 2019 and another when the program ends on May 21st, 2019. The program will require me to take French 1803.3, entailing a handful of seminar style classes prior to leaving for France and two weeks of educational experiences in Paris. While in Paris the program will focus on the history of Paris as well as taking us to visit some of Paris’ most iconic landmarks including but not limited to the Eiffel Tower, the Lourve Museum, and the Arc de Triomphe. On my own time, particularly on free days, I plan on interacting with the locals in order to gain a better understanding for the cultures that thrive in Paris which constitutes the other portion of my project in becoming immersed in a culture different than my own.
