THE LYMAN AND WERNER BANDS OF $D_{2}$

Abstract

The emission spectrum of $D_{2}$ in the vacuum ultraviolet has been re-investigated in the third order of a 10 m vacuum spectrograph. New rotational and vibrational constants for the ground state of $D_{2}$ have been evaluated which will make possible a more critical check of the results of ab initio calculations. Similar improved constants for the excited states have also been obtained.
