Abstract

Although students can be seen as transitory community members, these individuals and groups have found ways to build and maintain successful community partnerships. In this ignite-style session, multiple presenters will share their individual stories on specific themes including need-based assessment, the role of social identities, sustained involvement, and preparation and reflection. We will close with Q&A with all presenters. This session is intended for students and those who work with students through community engagement efforts.
