Abstract
I traveled to Ho, Ghana for a service-learning trip. I participated in the children's education program where I was placed in a first-grade classroom. I helped implement their English and Math curricula and gave individual attention to students who needed it. I was also able to learn about the culture of the community I was in through trips to local merchants, native dance and drumming lessons, talking with the people in the neighborhood, and so much more. This was an incredible experience that pushed me out of my comfort zone and taught me a lot about myself.
