Series/Report no.:Ohio State University. STEP Expo. Autumn 2018
My STEP Signature Project was an internship with the Ohio House of Representatives, specifically with the office of State Representative Ron Young. I served as his Constituent Aide and my responsibilities mainly included assisting constituents with their problems and concerns through email, written letters, phone calls, and more. I also filled in for Representative Young’s Legislative Aide, Bob Reed, for two weeks which allowed me to work with policy advisors and more closely with the representative himself on legislation. My understanding of myself as well as my understanding of serving in the public sector were impacted as a result of this internship.
