PRESSURE BROADENING OF THE ELECTRIC FIELD INDUCED Q-BRANCH LINES OF $D_{2}$
Publisher:
Ohio State UniversityAbstract:
The pressure broadened line widths of Q (0) through Q (4) in the electric field induced fundamental band of $D_{2}$ have been measured with a resolution of $0.03 cm^{-1}$. The values found for the broadening coefficients of these lines are, in order of increasing J: 5.9, 2.6, 4.2, 4.4, and $4.4\times 10^{-3}$ $cm^{-1}$/amagat. A comparison of these values with those calculated from the theory of Fiutak and Van $Kranendonk^{1}$ shows generally good agreement.
