dc.description.abstractEffects due to anharmonic and vibrational-rotational interactions have been observed in the high-resolution infrared spectra of the acetylenes. Analysis of the spectra was effected with the aid of a computer program in which such interactions can be explicitly taken into account and an internally consistent set of constants was obtained for the interacting states. In particular, states involving the two bending modes excited with ($v_{4} + v_{5})\geq 2$ were included in the analysis.en_US
