INFRARED AND SINGLE CRYSTAL RAMAN SPECTRA OF CESIUM LITHIUM COBALTICYANIDE, $Cs_{2}LiCo(CN)_{6}$
Publisher:
Ohio State UniversityAbstract:
The Raman spectrum with polarization data has been obtained for single crystals of $Cs_{2}LiCo(CN)_{6}$. In addition, the infrared spectrum in the region 35 to $4000 cm^{-1}$ has been measured for the power. A complete assignment of infrared and Raman active internal and lattice modes will be presented. Of particular interest are the definitive assignments of $\nu_{4}$ ($E_{g}, Co-C$ str.), $\nu_{9} (F_{1u}, C-Co-C$ def.), and $\nu_{11} (F_{2g}, C-Co-C$ def.), and the coupling of lattice and internal modes. The vibrational assignments for potassium cobalticyanide are reinterpreted in light of these new results.
