THE INFRARED AND RAMAN SPECTRA OF OXALATE ION IN AQUEOUS $SOLUTION^{*}$
Publisher:
Ohio State UniversityAbstract:
“New experimental observations have been made of the infrared and Raman spectra of aqueous solutions of several oxalates. The data support a staggered $(D_{2d})$ configuration for the ion. Assigned on this basis, the fundamental vibrational frequencies ($cm^{-1}$) are: \begin{eqnarray*} &&A_{1}: 1486, 900, 449\\ &&B_{2}: 1579, 524\\ &&E: 1310, 761, 301.\\ \end{eqnarray*}”
