dc.description.abstract | “Silylacetylene, $H_{3}SiC\equiv $CH and trideuterosilylacetylene, $D_{3}SiC\equiv $CH, have been prepared, and the infrared spectra of these molecules have been obtained under both low and medium resolution. The fundamental frequencies have been assigned to normal modes, and tentative assignments have been given to many of the overtone and combination bands. Many of the perpendicular-type bands were resolved, and approximate values were obtained for their Coriolis-coupling constants. The infrared spectrum supports the expected $C_{3v}$ symmetry for this molecule.” | en_US |
