EMISSION SPECTRUM OP THE $BO_{2}$ $MOLECULE^{*}$
Publisher:
Ohio State UniversityAbstract:
“The $A^{2}\Pi_{u} - X^{2} \Pi_{g}$ $bands^{1}$ have, been obtained in emission from a discharge tube containing $KBF^{4}$ and $B_{2}O_{3}$ The conditions were such that the $00^{\circ} 0-10^{\circ} 0, 00^{\circ} 0-20^{\circ} 0, 00^{\circ} 0 - 020$ and $00^{\circ} 0-00^{\circ} 2$ bands as well us others, could he photographed with an effective resolving power greater than 150,000. It is thus possible to supplement the earlier work on the absorption spectrum with detailed information about the $X^{2} \Pi_{g}$ state. Of particular interest is the large Renner effect shown by the $X^{2} \Pi_{g}$ state.”
