dc.description.abstract“The $^{a} \Sigma_{u}^{-} \leftarrow ^{a} \Sigma^{-}_{g}$ transition of $S_{2}$ trapped in a matrix has been observed in absorption over a large temperature range. Over twenty vibrational bands belonged to the (20,0) (0,0) progession could be identified. The correlation of the matrix to the gas phase spectrum will be discussed and compared with earlier results from infrared $investigations^{1}$ on the same molecule.”en_US
