THE SPECTRA OF Mn I AND Mn II
Publisher:
Ohio State UniversityAbstract:
New results in the analyses of Mn I an Mn II will be presented. The results concerning Mn I are mainly form a revision of the are spectrum observed by Meggers and started by Catalan and Garcia Riquelme some years ago. Mn II has been revised by Iglesias with new observations of the “positive are” spectrum of manganese. The main result is to modify extensively the triplet and singlet systems of the spectrum, now in very good agreement with Racah’s theoretical calculations, and also with our interpretation of the Zeeman effect.
