Citation:Polata Knigopisnaia: an Information Bulletin Devoted to the Study of Early Slavic Books, Texts and Literatures 3 (March 1980): 101-103.
This feature, "ОБЬЩЕѤ ЖИТИѤ" [Ob'shtee zhitie], provides a list of ongoing projects and recent publications of scholars in the field of Early Slavic studies, arranged alphabetically by the country in which they work. Represented in this issue are reports from Canada, the Netherlands, and the USA.
Iraida I. Tarnawecky (Associate Professor in Slavic Philology, Department of Slavic Studies, University of Manitoba, Winnipeg, Canada), page 101, and Edward Kasinec (Research Librarian at the Harvard Ukrainian Research Institute), pages 102-103, each submitted a list of recent publications. The editors of Polata knigopisnaia shared the list of works by Albert Gruijs (Professor of Auxiliary Historical Sciences at the Catholic University, Nijmegen), pages 101-102, who is "one of the editors of Litterae Textuales, a series of some renown among scholars of Western manuscripts. It encompasses everything Polata knigopisnaia would wish to represent in Slavic studies: Palaeography and codicology, as well as classical and medieval literature, in so far as its study is based directly on manuscripts."
