THE MICROWAVE SPECTRUM OF $F_{2}O_{2}^{\dagger}$
Publisher:
Ohio State UniversityAbstract:
The microwave spectrum of $F_{2}O_{2}$ has been examined in the region 8--37 KMc/sec using a conventional stark modulated spectrograph and a flow system for the sample. The observed moments of inertia are compatible with a peroxide type structure for the molecule, with the molecular parameters in the ranges\[\begin{array}{lcc}r_{F-O}&1.44 & 1.54 \AA^\circ\\ r_{O-O}&1.28 & 1.48 \AA^{\circ}\\ <OOF&1.09 & 110 \AA^\circ\\ Dihedral angle & 75^\circ &85^\circ \end{array} \] The dipole moment of the molecule is 1.40. D.
