A SEMI CLASSICAL VALENCE MODEL
Publisher:
Ohio State UniversityAbstract:
“A particularly simple, semi-classical model of chemical valence, in which emphasis is placed upon electron density between nuclei, is examined for agreement with experiment, for pedagogical value, and for additional implications. Many well-known experimental results are readily correlated with this model, in some cases more readily than with more quantitative treatments. In addition, some new interpretations concerning dipole moments and the inductive effect are strongly suggested.”
