dc.description.abstract“The $3v_{1}$ and $v_{2}+3v_{1}-v_{2}$ bands at 4566.810 and $4547.464 cm^{-1}$ respectively, were analyzed and $B_{000}, \alpha_{2}$ and $\alpha_{2}$ evaluated. By using $\alpha_{1}$ as determined from $B^{\prime}-B^{\prime}^{\prime}$ of the $2v_{1}+v_{3}$ band as measured by Allen. Plyler and $Blaine,^{1}$ $B_{e}$ was calculated. The values ${r}_{o}=1.554 _{b} A$ and $r_{e} = 1.553$ are in excellent agreement with the $C- S$ distance in OCS as measured by microwave methods. The R branch of the $3v_{2}$ band, which covers less than $5.5 cm^{-1}$, exhibits a Fortrat parabola such that R(100) is adjacent to R(0). It was possible to resolve all but seven lines of this branch. The value of $q^{\prime}^{\prime}$$(6.7\times 10^{-5}) cm^{-1}$) the splitting constant of the $v_{2}$ state, is within experimental error of the value $q^{\prime}^{\prime}=7.7\times 10^{-5}$ as calculated by Nielsen’s $Theory.^{2}$ From the band origins measured in this investigation and origins of other bands previously determined by other investigations, a complete set of $\omega$’s and anharmonicity constants are evaluated for $CS_{2}^{12}$. The molecular constants determined are in $cm^{-1}$:”en_US
