THE IR-7 INFRARED SPECTROPHOTOMETER--AN OPTICAL NULL GRATING INSTRUMENT
Publisher:
Ohio State UniversityAbstract:
“A modification of the IR--4 infrared spectrophotometer has been made, such that the second section of the monochromator contains a grating as the dispersing element. Improved resolution compared to a double prism instrument will be demonstrated. Examples of exchanging this advantage in favor of speed, or signal to noise ratio, will be shown. Continuous scans are possible by use of an automatic order changing system which preserves linear abscissa presentation. All other features of the IR--4 have been maintained, such as the single beam-double beam choice.”
