ISOTOPE SHIFT IN THE ARE SPECTRUM OF OSMIUM AND APPLICATION TO THE IDENTIFICATION OF THE ELECTRON CONFIGURATIONS
Publisher:
Ohio State UniversityAbstract:
The isotope shifts have been measured in a number of lines of Os I, allowing the classification of the following types of transitions: [FIGURE] The terms classified by Albertson W. (Phys, Rev. 45, p. 304, 1934) have been confirmed and electron configuration have been attributed to a number of them. The term $53^{\circ}$ (36818. 1 K above the ground level) is the term $d^{7}p^{5}F_{5}^{\circ}$. The classification of the term 103 (47198.8 K), $d^{6}6s7s^{7}D_{5}$ is confirmed.
