dc.description.abstractThe standard Raman intensities of $CH_{3}CN, CD_{3}CN, CH_{3}CCl_{3}, CD_{3}CCl_{3}, C_{6}H_{6}$, $1,3,5-C_{6}H_{3}D_{3}$, and $C_{6}D_{6}$ have been obtained for the liquids with a photoelectric grating spectrometer. The intensity sum rules derived for isotopic homologs by Crawford and by Decius are valid within experimental error. The spectrum of $CD_{3}CCl_{3}$ enables a definitive assignment for methyl chloroform to be made. A short progress report will be given on the results obtained for intensities in halogen substituted hydrocarbons and some isomeric hydrocarbons in the liquid state.en_US
