AN INFRARED SPECTROSCOPIC STUDY OF THE METHYL $BENZANTHRACENES^{*}$
Publisher:
Ohio State UniversityAbstract:
An infrared spectroscopic study of the 12 methyl benzanthracene isomers will be presented. Particular attention will be paid to the stretching, bending, and rocking frequencies of the methyl group. The infrared results will be discussed in relation to the molecular structure of the methyl benzanthracene isomers as deduced by theoretical $chemistry.^{1}$
