This is a paper about the little studied phenomena of Asatru or Odinism. This is a revival of the old Norse and Germanic religions that pre-date Christianity which have come to represent a different strand of expression in the white power community.
I attempt to understand this phenomena and assertain if this particular expression offers contemporary American "open society" a threat. I do this by tracing Asatru's developement as well as examine communities as they are widely represented on the web.
