Adam and Eve, wearing stars-and-stripes bikinis, stand flanked by flags before the Tree of Knowledge. A Mickey Mouse headed serpent proffers an apple, while a cheerful ape - his shirt labeled "1776-1976" - holds a rubber chicken. The lithograph was printed by Will Peterson at Plucked Chicken Press in Morgantown, West Virginia. One proof [CMA 2001.034.219] has a partial abstract print on the verso, possibly leftover from a different Peterson project as it does not look like the artist's work.en_US
