Tom Simpson, a 1955 graduate of The Ohio State University, was born March 24, 1930, in Lorain, Ohio. He was the first in his family to attend OSU. After graduating from high school in 1948, Simpson attended OSU for two years before a two-year stint in the Navy. Before his military service, Simpson lived in a group house that included a Great Dane owned by the landlord. After his service, he lived in OSU’s military housing on the west campus, with his wife and baby daughter. Simpson describes various aspects of campus, including class sizes, buildings and graduation. He also recounts various aspects of his life afterward.
