Studies of the Gyponinae (Homoptera: Cicadellidae) : Fourteen New Species of Gypona from Central and South America

Fourteen new species of South American Gypona (Homoptera: Cicadellidae) are described. Thirteen are placed in the subgenus Gypona: G. gilba n. sp., G. laxa n. sp., G. cerina n. sp., G. nigricara n. sp., G. medica n. sp., G. plaga n. sp., G. patula n. sp., G. pallida n. sp., G. pallidula n. sp., G. funiida n. sp., G. reversa n. sp., G. infuscara n. sp., and G. viridans n. sp. and one species, G. aurantica n. sp., is placed in the subgenus Marganalana.
