Cultural treatments of IAA and kinetin seed soaks, radicle prunings, and root prunings were tested alone and in combination on White oak (Quercus alba) seedlings grovm in two sizes of paper containers to increase root-shoot ratios. Radicle pruning increased number of main roots, larger containers increased root dry weight, but root-shoot ratios were not increased.
