The Election of Officers in the Board of Trustees occurred and the committee appointments were made for the 2006-2007 offices. Slane recognized Chad A. Endsley for his service. Karen A. Holbrook gave the President's Report and Sarah J. Patterson was given the Student Recognition Award. Vice Provost Mac Stewart and Assistant Provost Georgina Dodge gave an update on Diversity. The committee reports were then discussed. The consent agenda included the following resolutions: Regional Campus Board Appointments/Reappointments, Authorization to Nominate University Directors to the Board of the Institutes for Personalized Health Care, Waiver and Naming of Building, Naming of Student Visitor Center, Naming of Internal Space and Facilities, Renaming of Building, Honorary Degrees, Personnel Actions, Resolutions in Memoriam, Support for Historical Marker, Report of Research Contracts and Grants, Report on University Development, Amendments to Minimum Endowed Funding Levels, Waivers of Competitive Bidding Requirements, Approval to Enter into Design Construction Management and Construction Contracts and to Increase Construction Contracts, Easement (for Columbus Southern Power Company, Buckeye Substation, Cannon Drive, Columbus, Ohio), Easement (for City of Columbus, Ohio, South Campus Gateway), Lease of Land (for West Lane Avenue and Kenny Road, Columbus, Ohio), Revision of the Nonsmoking Policy, Opposition to the TEL Amendment to the Ohio Constitution, Recreation Center Fee - Phase III, and Compensation Benchmarks Presentation. The appendices included statements, maps, tables, presentations, and budgets that were not included in the minutes.
