This item is the meeting minutes of the Board of Trustees of The Ohio State University held on October 4, 2002 at the Ohio State University Longaberger Alumni House, Columbus, Ohio. President Karen A. Holbrook was introduced by Mr. Patterson for her first meeting as president of The Ohio State University. A Tribute to David Citino was resolved. President Karen A. Holbrook presented the President's Report and focused on the award of a collaborative grant between The Ohio State University, the Columbus Public Schools, and the Ohio State Historical Society and Ohio State's success. Mr. Jay A. May introduced Dr. Joseph J. Branin and he presented to the Board on the Thompson Library Renovation Proposal. The consent agenda included the following: Amendments to the Bylaws of the Board of Trustees, Uniform Selective Admission for All Quarters, Personnel Actions, Resolution in Memoriam, Report on University Development, Waivers of Competitive Bidding Requirements, Employment of Architects/Engineers and Construction Contracts, Sale of Real Property (for BUSCH BOULEVARD CENTRE, 975-1045 MEDITERRANEAN AVENUE AND 6092-6120 BOARDWALK STREET, COLUMBUS, OHIO), and Tribute to David Citino. The appendices included processes, budgets, building plans, and maps that were not already present in the minutes.
