Randall L. Schweller (Ph.D., Columbia, 1993), associate professor in the
Department of Political Science at The Ohio State University. Schweller’s
research focuses on theories of world politics, international security, and
strategic studies. He is the author of Deadly Imbalances: Tripolarity and
Hitler’s Strategy of World Conquest (Columbia University Press, 1998), as
well as many articles in journals such as World Politics, International Studies
Quarterly, International Security, American Political Science Review,
American Journal of Political Science, Review of International Studies, and
Security Studies. He is currently a member of the editorial board of the
journal International Security (Belfer Center of Science and International
Affairs, John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University). In
1993, he received a John M. Olin Post-Doctoral Fellowship in National Security
at the Center for International Affairs, Harvard University.
