Mershon Center seeks applicants for new Mason Chair

In 1997, Major General Raymond E. Mason Jr. (ret.) gave \$500,000 to
fund an endowed professorship in military history at the Mershon Center for
International Security Studies. Now, the Mason Foundation has generously agreed to give \$600,000 more to turn
the endowed professorship into an endowed chair. The Mershon Center and
Department of History are conducting a joint search to fill the new position.

The University Archives has determined that this item is of continuing value to OSU's history.
