Reliability and Validation of FT-IR data
Publisher:
Ohio State UniversityAbstract:
The reproducibility of interferogram data recorded with a single FT-IR using a stable reference laser leads to a high degree of reproducibility of spectral features. Reproducibility of spectral data from one FT-IR to another requires attention to details of alignment and operation and requires careful validation. Validation with a standard sample will not provide insight into the accuracy of spectral response. Validation using computed spectra for example where temperature distribution is the variable, such as in spectro-radiometry, is more indicative of spectral accuracy. This paper will present aspects of precision and accuracy of spectral data recorded with FT-IRs
