dc.description.abstractThe latest version of our Raman optical activity (ROA) instrument equipped with a charge-coupled-device detector will be presented. Raman optical activity is defined as the circular intensity difference between right and left circularly polarized incident and/or Raman scattered radiation. The previously $described^{1}$ instrument constructed at Syracuse University has been modified. These modifications allow us to obtain well resolved backward scattering in-phase dual circular polarization $(DCP_{1})$ ROA spectra in a broad frequency region $(150-2400 cm^{-1})$ in one measurement. A variety of samples will be discussed and compared to previous results. Spectra presented here show good performance of the new design at both lower and higher wavenumbers.en_US
