High Resolution Millimeter\submillimeter Spectroscopic Studies of Magnesium-Containing Free Radicals
Publisher:
Ohio State UniversityAbstract:
High resolution millimeter\submillimeter direct absorption spectroscopic studies have been perfomed on a variety of magnesium free radicals including, MgOH, MgF, MgCN, MgCCH, and $MgCH_{3}$ as well as isotopomers MgCl and MgNC. The pure rotational spectrum of these molecules have been measured in the ferquency range 65-380 GHz. Spectroscopic parameters such as rotational, fine structure and whenever possible, hyperfine terms, including magnetic hyperfine and electric quadrupole constants, have been determined for these species. The constants have been interpreted to deduce bonding characteristies of magnesium with the various ligands.
