This work was supported by the Air Force Office of Scientific Research. en_US dc.description.abstract A high resolution Fourier transform spectrometer coupled with a high temperature (800k) absorption cell have produced spectra for carbon dioxide in the $1600 to 2500 cm^{-1}$ $region^{1}$. These new data provide access to very high rotational levels. The measurements have been combined with the best available high resolution observations in other regions of the infrared and a procedure has been implemented to provide a global set of constants.
