dc.description.abstractWe analyze the Q-branch transitions of the $a2\upsilon_{2} - s\upsilon_{2}$ band of $^{14}NH_{3}$ based on a polynomial expansion up to eighth order in J and K. A good fit to the data for $J \leq 11$ and precise values of the molecular constants are obtained in a 13-parameter fit $(\Delta G_{JJKK} = \Delta G_{KKKK} = 0)$. Results of the statistical analysis are used to calculate wavenumbers and variances for transitions with $J \leq 13$ that have not yet been measured.en_US
