LASER INDUCED FLUORESCENCE STUDIES OF MOLECULAR IONS IN A RADIOFREQUENCY QUADRUPOLE ION TRAP
Publisher:
Ohio State UniversityAbstract:
The use of laser induced fluorescence to study electronic spectra and dynamics of molecular ions confined in a RF quadrupole ion trap has been described by ${Mahan and co-workers}^{1}.$ Recent experiments have investigated the charge transfer reactions of ${N_{2}}^{+}$ with Ar and $N_{2}$ and have produced ultraviolet spectra of $HBr^{+}$. Progress in extending such studies to other molecular ions and to shorter wavelengths will be described.
