IR-MW DOUBLE RESONANCE OF HYDRAZINE IN THE $10 \mu m$ ANTISYMMETRIC AMINO WAGGING BAND

Ohio State UniversityAbstract:
The antisymmetric amino wagging band of hydrazine was studied by ifrared-microwave double resonance. The $N_{2}O$ and $CO_{2}$ lasers of various isotopes were used as the pumping radiation source. About 160 microwave transitions were observed in the frequency range of 8 to 40 GHz. Among these lines, 19 were identified as those of the ground vibrational state. Several infrared lines were assigned based on the double resonance measurement. A part of the excited state energy level structure was determined.
