The Ohio State UniversityAbstract:
Bounded by the present High Street, West Woodruff Avenue, College Road, and West Seventeenth Avenue. Since the principal entrance was from the south, these buildings are arbitrarily indexed at 30 West Seventeenth Avenue. The name "Ohio Field" was conferred at the dedication at the Oberlin-Ohio State football game on November 21, 1908. However, there was no official Board of Trustees action designating the name. These buildings were also known as the University Field, the "U" Field, the Athletic Park, and the Athletic Field.
