The complexes are produced in a pulsed laser vaporization molecular beam and identified using a time-of-flight mass spectrometer. Transitions from the ground electronic state of $YO(CH_{3})_{2}$ to three closely lying states of $Y^{+}-O(CH_{3})_{2}$ are observed. The three ionic states are tentatively assigned to $^{1}A_{1}, ^{3}A_{1}$, and $^{3}B_{2}$, and their energies $(T_{0})$ are measured to be 38002, 38248, and $38448 cm^{-1}$, respectively. Three symmetric vibrational modes are measured to be similar in the $^{1}A_{1}$ and $^{3}A_{1}$ states, which are $262 (259) cm^{-1}$ for the $Y^{+}-O(CH_{3})_{2}$ stertching, $451 (446) cm^{-1}$ for the C-O-C bending, and 831 $(829) cm^{-1}$ for the $C-O$ stretching. The $Y^{+}-O(CH_{3})_{2}$ stretching $(260 cm^{-1})$ and C-O-C bending $(438 cm^{-1})$ are also observed in the $^{3}B_{2}$ state. For the di-ligand complex, only the transition from the neutral ground electronic state to the ion ground state is observed and the transition energy $(T_{0})$ is $29940 cm^{-1}$.
