We have measured the width, shift and line-mixing parameters of several R and P lines in the fundamental band of CO over a range of temperatures from $-80^{\circ}C$ to room temperature. The spectra have been recorded using a tunable difference frequency laser spectrometer and a temperature controlled cold cell. The spectralresolution was 2 MHz and the signal to noise ratio was in excess of 3000 for a 1 sec integration time. To measure the lineshifts we used the 300 MHz Fabry-Perot etalon as a frequency reference. Broadening coefficients are obtained to an accuracy of 1\% or better permitting critical comparison with lineshape models.
