dc.description.abstractHigh resolution infrared data for metal hydrides have only become available after the introduction of the diode laser and Fourier transform infrared spectrometers. The high resolution infrared spectra of AIH, AID. InH and InD have been measured with the Bruker IFS 120HR spectrometer at the University of Waterloo. The spectra were obtained in emission and demonstrate the sensitivity of the emission techinique for obtaining spectra of high temperature gas phase molecules. Sets of Dunham coefficients $Y***$ and sets of mass-reduced Dunham constants $U***$ were determined.en_US
