JET COOLED EMISSION SPECTRA OF THE XYLENES AND XYLYL RADICALS
Publisher:
Ohio State UniversityAbstract:
Rotationally cooled gas-phase electronic emission spectra of the xylene and xylyl radicals were produced with a corona excited supersonic expansion. For each molecule, the emission is almost exclusively from the lowest vibrational level in the electronic excited state indicating efficient vibrational cooling Vibronic assignments were based on known infrared, Roman and torsional frequencies.
