dc.description.abstractA cw coherent anti-Stokes Raman Spectroscopy (CARS) system based on single-mode Ar-ion and ring dye lasers has been used to obtain high-resolution spectra of deuterium molecule. Accurate measurements of Raman linewidths of deuterium have been made for pressures ranging from 1 to 20 atm. Pressure broadening coefficients determined from the data for five vibrational Raman transitions Q(0) through Q(4) are presented.en_US
