dc.description.abstractAn explanation of the photodetachment spectra of $OH^{-}$, $SH^{-}$ and $SeH^{-}$ is given in terms of the rotational line strengths of a $^{3}\Pi, ^{1}\Pi \leftarrow ^{1}\Sigma^{+}$ system. Rotational coupling in the complex AH + $e^{-}$ is found to be important. These techniques can also be used for interpreting the band contours in photoelectron spectroscopy.en_US
