Abstract
The absorption spectrum of the $Kr_{2}$ molecule was photographed in the 1040 - 1300 \AA region using a 6.65 m vacuum spectrograph, in the second order, and the argon continuum as a background source. Eight band systems, four well-developed and four rather fragmented, were classified. A vibrational analysis was performed for the former four systems and the molecular constants obtained for the ground state and for some of the upper states will be presented. In general, the spectrum of $Kr_{2}$ is very similar to $that^{1}$ of $Ar_{2}$. The spectroscopically determined dissociation energy of the ground state is in good agreement with the value from molecular beam scattering $experiments.^{2}$
