DOUBLE POLES AND NON-EXPONENTIAL DECAYS IN POLYATOMIC MOLECULES

It appears possible that a double pole can occur in a field-induced transition in polyatomic molecules. Whenever this occurs, the decay is no longer an exponential, but contains a polynomial function of time multiplied by the exponential factor.
