DIPOLE MOMENT OF HCl FROM FAR INFRARED DISPERSION MEASUREMENTS.

Using asymmetric Fourier transform techniques, the rotational line strengths, and hence, the dipole moment of HCl have been measured. Our value for the dipole moment is $1.134 \pm 0.015$ Debye. These data may be used with absorption data to give line widths. This work was supported, in part, by a contract between the Air Force Cambridge Research Laboratories and The Ohio State University Research Foundation.
